Less than five days before we talk about iPhone 5, an interesting rumor has sprouted on the blogosphere hinting about the fate of iPod Classic and Shuffle players. And it’s not looking good at all.
According to a ghost individual who has a particular knowledge about this issue, it’s claimed these two “revolutionary” MP3 devices that brought Apple into the digital music world will say bye bye for good.
The basis of this report is still vague but if you’ll ask my opinion, hearing this news isn’t a cause of a real surprise. Considering Apple did silently kill its original Macbook laptops this year in the wake of Macbook Air (2011) arrival; we believe this will be the same path for iPod Shuffle reaching almost a decade on its existence.
As for the iPod Shuffle, this device has undergone many changes and just last year, Apple tried to entice everyone by removing its screen and making it as small as the nano – sans the touchscreen. In my opinion, whatever the classic or shuffle can do, it can be done by iPod Touch or Nano.
Anyway, eventhough Apple discontinues on producing such devices, we expect to see these MP3 gadgets sold on public markets for years to come — you know? The usual “I’ll swap you this, I’ll trade you that” kind of line?
