Do you still remember when the release of the first generation INFOBAR was? Well, that happened eight years ago and it seems that we will be seeing more of the INFOBAR nowadays especially now that KDDI has just announced the INFOBAR A01, which is set to hit the country by July. This becomes a possibility now that Naoto Fukasawa, a well-known product designer is back once again at the design helm. Basically, the DNA from the first generation INFOBAR is seen in the new smartphone signature tile-like keys, hand fitting form and palette of colors that include the vermillion NISHIKIGOI.
The KDDI Infobar A01 runs with the Android 2.3 operating system. This smartphone fits very well in the hand and offers Osaifu-Keitai, infrared communication and 1seg TV. Overseas use is also possible for this phone through the Global Passport. In addition to this, the KDDI Infobar A01 also comes with the following specs as well:
- equipped with a camera that is approximately 8.05 megapixels
- sports a 3.7-inch display
- offers approximately 1.1 GB data folder capacity
- comes with an external memory of 2GB microSDTM / 32 GB micro SDHCTM(encryption compatible)
- has a dimension of 63x118x11.8mm and weighs only 113g
- other features include : E-mail, Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth and Global Passport
Unfortunately, there is no word on what type of processor will power this new smartphone, but considering these specs, we can expect that it is a good one. This phone will be available in four different color schemes and also comes with some optional silicone and leather cases that were designed to match the phone. This will surely be appreciated by users out there who love fashion or those who consider smartphones to be part of their fashion get-up.
