KDDI Mi-Look is a mobile-monitoring unit which is GPS-capable and waterproof. It features a tracking and monitoring functionality that communicates by email the whereabouts of a person in real time measuring his known location.
In addition, the strap-activated gadget is a buzzer, an answering unit for incoming calls and a pedometer, with a desktop holder and motion sensors. Incoming and outgoing calls are limited to 20 phonebook registered parties while fast notification is made easy with the strap attachment. Talking to a caller can be made hands-free without the other party on the line knowing it. The Kyocera-built device comes in white color.
While generally intended for those suffering from memory loss, the unit is also helpful in taming non-techie parents. It is capable of mobile phone and PC connectivity and is possessed with an emergency response in cases of earthquake and water-related issues. For basic specifications, it weights 84g, has a dimension of 89 x 48 x 17mm, a standby time of 380 hours.

The small interface can be used to input user’s instructions and view results of any search made. Also, Mi-Look buzzes off if battery power is low. The KDDI MI-Look pedometer has been targeted for use in confining household members who are always on the go engaged in risky activities. No word on its price and availability.
