Who says that summer is over? Maybe for some, but not for Japan’s second biggest mobile company KDDI. The mobile operator had just recently uncovered its new line of summer collection. There are ten unique models revealed beginning from Bravia, Cyber-Shot, Solar Phone, AQUOS shot to Exilim. Regardless of their being unique, they share one common feature; all of them are waterproof, which looks like a new trend hitting Japan nowadays.
KDDI’s 2010 Summer collection includes Hitachi Beskey, Casio Exilim CA005, Sony Ericsson Cybershot S003, Sharp AQUOS Shot SH008, Toshiba REGZA Phone T004, Sony Ericsson BRAVIA Phone S004, Sharp Solar Phone SH007, Sanyo SA002, Kyocera Kantan Keitai K005, Pantech Kantan Keitai-S PT001.
First in line is the Hitachi Beskey, is an 8 megapixel phone with 3.2 inch LCD display and includes an SD card slot, replaceable keypad available in 3 designs and of course is waterproof.
Next is the Casio Exilim CA005 which also has a 3.2-inch LCD display, 13-megapixel camera, SD card slot, and waterproof feature.
The Sony Ericsson Cybershot S003 another 3.2 inch TFT display phone that includes multiple camera functions like a smile shutter, a 12.1MP camera with Exmore sensor, SD card slot. This model is tag as the world’s first waterproof slider.
On the other hand, the Sharp AQUOS Shot SH008 has larger display screen measuring 3.4-inches with 480×854 resolution, has Wi-Fi, 12.1-megapixel CCD camera and waterproof feature.
The fifth in line is the Toshiba REGZA Phone T004 which has a 3.2-inch Regza TFT screen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 12.2MP CMOS camera, Qosmio and dynabook connectivity.
Next, the Sony Ericsson BRAVIA Phone S004 having a 3.2 Bravia TFT screen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 8MP CMOS camera, and is waterproof.
The Sharp Solar Phone SH007 another model for KDDI’s summer collection has the ability to lasts for two minute phone call with just 10 minutes solar charge. It also has a 3.2-inch Sharp ASV screen, 8MP CCD camera and is waterproof.
Still a waterproof model is the Sanyo SA002 which is 3-inch TFT screen phone, with an 8MP CMOS camera, SD card slot, and is waterproof. The phone is even tag as the world’s slimmest waterproof slider having a dimension of 14.8mm.
Kyocera Kantan Keitai K005 has a 3-inch TFT screen, 3.3MP CMOS camera, SD card slot, and is waterproof.
And to complete the 2010 summer collection of KDDI is the Pantech Kantan Keitai-S PT001. A unique phone with no display, super-easy to use, designed for the elderly, can stand for 410 hours and is waterproof. All these new line of phones are unique and is exciting. They are all expected to arrive in Japan early next month.
