If there’s a wheel there’s a way and for Amazon, its only part of the game it needs to level up with. As you can see, when Apple changed its policy for in-app purchases on its magical store, it also obliged E-reader companies like Amazon, Sony, etc. to change their requirements for their e-reader app.
As of today, Amazon find a prompt solution to at least mitigate the issues it have with the fruit-shaped App store as it reveals Kindle Cloud Reader. On a nutshell, it works on a cloud server that lets any users read Kindle books they want from different gadgets for free!
To be more specific, it works after you download its add-on for Chrome or Safari web-browser which supports Windows machines, Macs and Chromebooks and it gives different features such as access to its library, ability to download the ebook you want and read it offline, and its comes optimized for iPad as well – if you prefer using the tablet instead of Kindle e-reader. Then again, it’s noted that if you’ll use several gadgets to read your Kindle Books, there might be some limitation upon accessing its library.
So far, this is Amazon’s first visible answer against the strict policy of Apple and if you’ll ask me, the Kindle Cloud Reader is a smart approach and I expect other e-reader companies to follow this path as well.
