Despite of the problems and a grade of ‘half-baked’ from the gamingsphere, there’s no doubt that Kinect put Microsoft back into its game on the later part of Q4 last year. As some of you may know, Microsoft’s year for 2010 was a bit unsweetened due to its mistakes of delivering the Kin Project and the Courier tablet. That being said, the company is still gigantic and could put itself on any direction it pleases depending on the vision of its key players.

Speaking of which, it appears Microsoft will do another brave move by releasing the full Kinect-SDK for PC! Just last week, Steve Ballmer (CEO, Microsoft) announced that the company is already seeing Kinect on PC in the near future (“right time”) and you can bet this Kinect-SDK revelation is just a part of it. An insider claims MS is already prepping up for a Kinect-driver to be compatible for Windows PCs and it’s rumored to be distributed as a beta developing tool on its release date happening on a undisclosed event called as “Community Technical Preview” for Microsoft’s XNA Game Studio tools.
Since Kinect was revealed last November, there’s got to be tons of interesting hacks that leaked throughout the web and some of it is just plain amazing. At this point, you can only think of so many things you can do once Kinect has been a peripheral for your computer. Hopefully, Microsoft will make the right choices this time.
