I guess at this point, you already know the hodge-podge surrounding the low review scores for Kinect on Xbox 360. Previously, we have covered every detail that you should know why Kinect is the type of console for the rich because you need to have a living room set or an area in your house which is six-feet away from the place where you will put the Kinect camera. Not only that, critics also claim that the newly fangled motion-based console of Microsoft is not yet perfected and it’s still far away from the minority-report type of experience some gamers are clamoring for.

Anyway, it appears there’s a solution for this, coming from an interview with Alex Kipman (Kinect Developer) and that is, we’ll go for a “kinect hybrid!”. Here’s the excerpt.
“Hybrid games” will allow all forms of gaming “to exist” together. “We’ll continue to have controller-only games,” “We love controller-free games, we love Kinect experiences and we’ll continue to grow our set of those as well.
Basically, this hybrid theory is about the combination of Kinect and Xbox 360 controllers in the future to give gamers the full gaming experience they need. But wait? Isn’t this against with the first rule of Natal about bringing a controller-free gaming experience for the players? Err, I do hope our developer doesn’t mean the Xbox 360 controller pertaining to this ‘Kinect Hybrid’ but rather, a subtle sophisticated device. So far, this is still the first version of Kinect and hopefully Microsoft won’t make the gamers wait in vain for its second ‘more handsome’ coming.
