India seems to be in a surge of making new smartphones for their population. Here is one of those smartphones, the Lava A10 Price, an “Affordable Mobile for Indian’s.”

Lava is one of India’s largest mobile phone brands currently in the emerging Indian market. The release of the Lava A10 for them is already a very big deal in par with the release of the iPhone it seems.
Here are the Lava A10 specs:
- 3 inch IPS display
- 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash
- Yamaha PA system
- Expandable up tp 16 GB microSD card
The only other thing that this smartphone (really?) has it going is the pre-installed games, easy access to Facebook, Twitter, and that low price tag.
And that’s it really. No news about other hard core specs like RAM or processor that would really make this news worthy except for the price. For Rs 5,499, the average Indian can easily buy this new smartphone that is described somewhat like a car. Converted to American dollars, that would come out at around $122 with todays exchange rate.
Although this may be a good phone, it can’t really compete in the global scene where iPhone and Galaxy S and HTC Windows Phone 7 abound every market from Asia to Europe to America.
