Valve is on a roll-out of updating its ace co-op shooting game, Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 with its latest campaign, “The Sacrifice”. While this may seem insignificant for Xbox 360 gamers, I think it’s important for any PC / Mac users to know the system requirements of Left 4 Dead 2. Don’t worry this won’t hurt a bit especially if your rig was on the top notch of 2009.
Left 4 Dead 2 PC System Requirements
- Supported OS: Windows® 7 / Vista / Vista64 / XP
- Processor: Pentium 4 3.0GHz
- Memory: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
- Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible video card with 128 MB, Shader model 2.0. ATI X800, NVidia 6600 or better
- Hard Drive: At least 7.5 GB of free space
- Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
Recommended
- Supported OS: Windows® 7 / Vista / Vista64 / XP
- Processor: Intel core 2 duo 2.4GHz
- Memory: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
- Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible video card with Shader model 3.0. NVidia 7600, ATI X1600 or better
- Hard Drive: At least 7.5 GB of free space
- Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
Mac System Requirements
- OS: MacOS X 10.6.4 or higher (Snow Leopard Graphics Update required)
- Processor: Dual core Intel processor, 2GHz or better
- Video Card: ATI Radeon 2400 or higher / NVIDIA 8600M or higher
- Not supported: OS X 10.5.x, ATI X1600 graphics, or NVIDIA GeForce 7 graphics
The only way to have this game (legally) is if you will download it straight via Valve’s steam, or get it on the box at your nearest gaming store. The price isn’t that big of a deal if you are used to paying games online. But for some, this may appear as annoying.
To give you a little preview of how grandiose Left 4 Dead 2 really is, it’s the most anticipated sequel of the No.1 FPS co-op shooting game we all know as Left 4 Dead. This was already released last November but it still gives players that needed chill through their spine.
