At this point, I would just like to make it clear that the Sacrifice for L4D is somewhat different with L4D2. So here’s how it breaks down.
The Sacrifice for Left 4 Dead One will only get the new campaign with new maps for the Versus, Survival and Scavenge modes.
While the Sacrifice for Left 4 Dead 2 will get all the campaigns as well with the Left 4 Dead 1 survivors. There’s also a bonus ‘No Mercy’ campaign. Both campaigns will feature special Infected zombies, items, and weapons from Left 4 Dead 2, which is really cool to see.
We made a good review about how Valve is doing a discount for all the L4D / L4D2 games when you download it via Steam, their package won’t even cost you more than 20 bucks.
For those newbies who are caught blinded with this new release, ‘The Sacrifice’ is the prequel for ‘The Passing’ campaign. And it will take place from the original L4D survivors as they head towards south for salvation. It was called ‘The Sacrifice’ because there’s this special game-play mode in which players can choose to sacrfice their lives so others may live (very cool, huh?)
