Lego Star Wars fans rejoiced! The sequel to the popular Lego Star Wars video game series will be finally released. LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will follow the story of the previous Lego Star Wars game namely : LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game and LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy.

The game was previously announced by Traveller’s Tales and LucasArts a year ago. It was supposedly scheduled for release on Autumn of 2010 for platforms various platforms such as PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, PSP and Nintendo DS. Though, it was later announced the game will be scheduled for release on March of this year.
According to its publisher, elements from the previous LEGO Star Wars game will be incorporated in Clone wars. However, exciting new features should be expected by gamers such as new battle modes, upgraded level builder and to choose to play either as a Jedi or a Separatist (with new character abilities). Furthermore, characters from the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Saga will be included in the game.
The new Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars will still be available on the platforms like its predecessor (no announcement for Nintendo 3DS). Price is TBA. Don’t worry, we’ll keep you updated.
