Hot on the heels with CES 2012, Lenovo is revealing again another product that may perk the interest of school administrators who can’t decide what type of notebook will be lucrative for their grade-school students.
Well, Lenovo Classmate+ laptop (along with its Convertible sibling) is here for that task and for those who are unaware, this is the same product revealed last year aimed at enlightening the learning experience of students via an affordable educational piece of notebook.

Since this laptop-looking-netbook is the second-generation of the learning series, it comes equipped with upgraded specs like Atom N2600 CPU, 2GB DDR RAM, up to 320GB for its hard drive plus, an optional 32GB SSD for those who prefer faster data transfer at the expense of losing a few hundred GBs of storage capacity. As usual, this 10.1-inch laptop is ruggedly built to last at the hands of little joes who love to throw away their toys after finished with them. With Classmate+’s waterproof design, reinforced steel hinge and strengthened DC jack, parents or teachers will be sure the laptop will survive for the entire school year and hopefully, can be used by incoming batch of playful boys and gals for another round.
Interestingly, the presser also revealed the anti-glare screen of the device will include touch capability or, pen input for navigation. Of course, those misc. stuff are still included like 6-cell battery (up to 10 hours of use), USB ports, VGA and HDMI-out so the student can instantly stream the laptop’s content over an external HDMI-ready Television when presenting a project about Nat Geo.
If you’re one of Lenovo’s qualified education and government customers, you can order the laptop this month with different prices depending on your country’s local taxes & tariffs.
