Major PC makers have been coming out with the thinnest and lightest laptops these past few years. These laptops were basically designed to fill the niche between a low-powered netbook and a full pledged laptop or desktop PC. These laptops seem to be not powerful enough to be a desktop replacement after all. But with Lenovo’s release of its latest IdeaPad U160, it seems that Lenovo is trying to give a different perspective on these ultra-thin laptops.

A laptop especially meant for highly mobile users. This is no other than the Lenovo IdeaPad U160 which was announced last month and has recently been available via the company’s own webstore at a price of $1,149. The U160 basically carries Lenovo’s classic stylish looks that comes with a checkered pattern that sprawls across its non glossy lid. It comes with the classic black colored cover as well as a very exciting red colored cover as well. But like most laptops of this kind, it has no optical drive also.
