Lenovo’s LePad is probably one of the most interesting hybrid tablets ever designed. Along with its U1 hybrid dock, Lenovo’s tablet may launch sometime in China these upcoming months. And though Lenovo has given no fixed details regarding the tablet’s complete list of specs, Engadget has managed to get a brief hands-on and early preview of the LePad.

With a 10.1-inch capacitive touch screen dispay, the LePad is said to be very responsive to touch commands. And though its processor still remains unlear (Engadget is guessing between Tegra 2 and Snapdgragon), the tablet is said to run on Android 2.2.
Aside from this, the tablet is equipped with a colorful UI layer that can be fully customized. The tech blog also stated that the layer is stretched across three panels which feature circular app shortcuts, widget storage, and four media panes. The device also include a mini-HDMI port, mini-USB, web cameras (front and rear), and a headset jack.
Meanwhile, the U1 hybrid dock is intended for the LePad’s netbook form. It is said to be a 10-inch dock with a chiclet keyboard that is similar to the IdeaPad U160. It also features a touchpad with two mouse buttons. However, Engadget did not have the chance to test the dock since it was still on its non-working form.
What do you think? Can LePad beat Apple’s iPad now that Clamshell has been released?
