Just when you thought Asus Transformer Prime will be the only quad-core tablet going to be unveiled this year. A tipster report came from engadget stating Lenovo will join the fun as well.
To be more specific, this anonymous tip claim the company will reveal a 10.1-inch tablet this holidays powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU, 2GB DDR3 RAM (1.6GHz), USB port, a shooter camera with still pending image sensor and most importantly, it’ll packed Ice Cream Sandwich on its release. Now, that’s interesting because we had an impression last week that Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S might be the only devices to ever received Android 4.0 for the remaining weeks of this year.
Going back to the rumor-mill, its body will feature a “special fusion-skin” which you can see on the image along with a fingerprint scanner which also acts as a special optical joystick – perhaps for added navigational purposes. Likewise, this type of tablet design is something we’ve only came across with this report but as we all know, we can’t confirm anything unless it came from the horse’s mouth.
According to pundits, the new quad-core tablet should be slimmer than IdeaPad K1 or the old LePad. And considering the device will use Tegra 3 CPU, we believe it will possess the amazing battery life as previewed from Asus Transformer Prime and HTC’s upcoming quad-core phone.
Price and release date still undisclosed but should this rumor really speaks about the truth, then we should hear more about it by the coming weeks ahead.
