Skylight rockets Sky high! Only from Lenovo

Had more than enough from Lenovo last CES 2010? You should! But wait there’s more, but let me just tell you this is definitely not for finale. Introducing a cute stuff you would feel like you’re a kid again (unless it’s pretty obvious that you’re not), welcome Lenovo’s Skylight smartbook (remember I said Skylight not skyline that’s 2 different things okay?).

I know Lenovo has launched a dozen of device this 1st month of 2010 and now they have another one; I guess it’s pretty obvious that they just can’t get enough of the limelight they are receiving. They have been the feature of all most all of the gadget websites all over the globe and they are sure loving it! But would they still love it if the feedback from gizmo critics aren’t so good when it comes to their babies?

We all know that there are Pro’s and Con’s for being the 1st to release hybrid devices, I guess Lenovo didn’t see the con’s coming. So maybe this Skylight netbook was able to raise one’s eye brow at sky high but it wasn’t all good because they saw flaws on this smartbook! Anyway let’s proceed to the good and not so good specification of Lenovo Skylight.

You can rave about…

  • 10.1-inch display
  • Integrated WWAN card
  • Flip-out USB thumb drive
  • HDMI out
  • SD card slot
  • 2nd USB jack
  • Internal micros slot
  • 8GB system drive
  • 12 hours of battery life
  • Flaws in the making that you’ll definitely rant for
  • Multi-touchpad’s poor performance
  • Not so amazing Linux OS (reports say it’s not quite ready for use, so I guess it wasn’t so good)
  • Plus a not so fast 1 GHz Snapdragon processor (knowing there’s a 1.6 GHz existing)

Though it’s sleek and cute and the looks of it may affect your age (makes u a little less older) the price tag associated with it does’nt seem to justify what it can offer. I’m talking about spending your hard earned $499 for this rig, after knowing and seeing what it can give you, now tell me if it’s even worth it! So enough of my talking, see Jim Louderback via Revision 3 talking about the new Lenovo Skylight straight from CES event 2010. This will give you a good overview what this gadget is capable of,
