Lenovo takes center stage with its new batch of laptops. It has recently announced a new line of ThinkPad notebooks that promise to cater to all your digital needs without compromising battery life. For now, we’ll focus on the 2-entry level ThinkPads – L420 and L520.

The Lenovo ThinkPad L420 has a 14-inch 1366 x 768 screen with an anti-glare coating, DDR3 RAM (up to 8GB) , 4 x USB 2.0 ( 1 powered USB), 1 eSATA, DVD ROM, Intel Integrated HD graphics and 6-cell battery. If you’re concerned about its form factor, this notebook measures (W X D X H): 13.54in x 9.17in x 1.26in and weighs 5.1lbs.
For the ThinkPad L520, it has 15.6-inch display with anti-glare coating and choice between (1366 x 768) and (1600 x 900) screen resolutions. It inherits most of the specs found at the L420 although the L520 has a bigger dimensions with 14.96in x 9.72in x 1.26in-1.42in (WxDxH). It weighs 5.75 lbs.

Both ThinkPad notebooks can be customized according to the user’s specifications starting from its processor. Buyers can select from a wide range of Intel core processor series i3, i5 and i7 variants along with WiMAX/EVDO/HSPA support, 720p Webcam and select between SSD or HDD storage.

If you’re serious on getting one of these ThinkPads you need to prepare at least $899. Both will be released on March 29.
