Here’s a clincher for all you boys and gals wondering what’s so special with the Thinkpad upgrades launch by Lenovo yesterday. But before we get into that, just in case you missed it, here’s the 2011 Thinkpad T series and L series.
Going back to the discussion, the company has also revealed its first ever quad-core Thinkpad under the model W520 and this one is going to be available next month!

At first glance, the Lenovo Thinkpad W520 is under a 15.6-inch screen display running an Intel Core i5 processor (you can customize it up to Core i7-2920XM ), whereas it packs an insane RAM setup up to 32GB! You’ll also have the option to go for a 500GB Hard Disk Drive or the 160GB SSD storage unit. To top it all up, it will be utilizing NVIDIA Quadro 1000M w/ 2GB memory or NVIDIA Quadro 2000M w/ 2GB memory for its GPU.

This laptop would also include other goodies such as 2x USB 3.0 / eSATA ports, WiFi / Bluetooth 2.1 support; DVD optical drive, integrated camera and NVIDIA Optimus switching technology for better battery life. Speaking of which, its battery can last up to 8.9 to 10.7 hours which mainly depends on what type of software you are using, or if you have picked the quad-core type of CPU.
If you are interested, you can get the Thinkpad W520 with a starting price of 1,529 USD on March 29, 2011.
