I guess convertible computing device is the in thing this year because most of the latest laptop and netbooks seems to be flaunting this feature. I wonder will this be the end of Tablet PC? Anyway let’s move on to the latest buzz from Lenovo.
If you have been reading a lot of articles on our website then you should know that I keep on re-iterating that Lenovo is one hell of an expensive computing machine. I guess the cheapest ever gadget they have released is the skylight (which is not a ThinkPad so it’s pretty obvious why the price is not as lucrative) that costs $499 up.
We have spotted another ThinkPad but it was sighted on an Australian website and ready for order and delivery but if you are outside of the said country you wouldn’t dare buying this I hope. Oh I actually tried to buy this gadget and it seems like it is indeed available for delivery to other countries but I’m not sure how much the shipping cost would be as I didn’t go as far as getting that info.
The fact that the delivery is quite risky (this one is fragile) should make you realize that ‘patience is a virtue’ so just wait for it to be available in your area. Otherwise if you really can’t wait I advise you to pay insurance for delivery. You wouldn’t want something that cost an amazing $3,230 go to waste right?
So what should you look forward to from this convertible computing device? Here it is
- Windows 7 Professional 32bit
- Intel Core i7-620LM processor (2.00GHz)
- Intel Integrated Graphics 5700 MHD
- Integrated Audio and camera
- Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200
- 4GB combination of 2GB memory, DDR3-1066 SODIMM
- HDD of 320GB / 7200rpm
- 12.1 inch screen, WXGA Multitouch LED-backlit
- 5 in 1 Media Card Reader
- 8 Cell battery (can I conclude that this is a CULV machine?)
- Bluetooth
- Gobi 2000 Embedded Wireless WAN
The specs seems so amazing but it should because of the eye popping price. If you think that everything is all good you may want to think again. This gadget will weigh 5.5 kilograms/12.1 lbs! Hefty price for a bulky device? Oh well you can’t have it all I guess.
