HP, the world-leading technology company which offers a wide range of devices and gadgets (computers, printers, etc.) has recently named its new CEO and president—Leo Apotheker, former CEO of SAP.

Apotheker was with SAP for more than 20 years, handling various positions and gaining several titles, one of which is the last he had in the company—Chief Executive Officer. This action, which has been foreseen since the Mark Hurd scandal and impeachment from both the CEO and Board of Directors’s position in August, is a major decision for the company. Apotheker’s name definitely came in the picture as quite a shock, since it has been Todd Bradley’s name that has been widely circulated among the industry.
During his 20 years of stay in SAP, Apotheker was known to have given wide contributions in making the company known as it was hailed the biggest business software applications company worldwide. As for HP, his experience and expertise in the industry is the edge of Apotheker, and he has the abilities that HP was looking for. His remarkable track record in the technology industry is something to be taken note of.
According to Apotheker, as the company moves forward (with him as captain of the ship), it is expected that they will continue their valued relationships with customers; but the company will also prove to be a tight competitor against other companies in the field.
