If you have been a tech-junkie before and your point of interest is about wondering when to see those 1TB type of SD cards, you should go back to past – two years ago – where pundits claim SDXC will bring forth that type of technology along with some insane 300MBps type of data transfer. Today, it appears we’re still far from that milestone but I wouldn’t mind applauding the innovation for SDXC cards and this one from Lexar exemplifies something just like that.

Coming from a freshly baked PR statement, Lexar will be introducing its first 128GB secured digital extended capacity memory card (SDXC) targeted for people who are photographers / videographers. These cards will come in pairs (64GB / 128GB) and both supports transfer speeds up to 133x (20MBps) which is perfect for transferring high-res images from your camera to the computer. It will also pack an Image Rescue software as a bonus when you buy it. In addition to that, the Lexar Professional 133x is compatible with all SDXC-enabled devices including this Panasonic TV.
If you are interested, these pair of memory modules don’t come as cheap at all and it will set you back for an MSRP of 399.99 USD for the 64GB unit and 699.99 USD for the 128GB. Its release date will be available on Q1 of this year on majority of outlets and on Lexar’s website.
