Who says netbooks are dead if we have something like this?

So probably if you’re looking at the device itself, it’s the newly christened LG X170 by the Korean-based company and so far it packs all the usual stuff you need from your netbook like: A 10.1 inch HD display (1366 x 768 resolution) under a LED LCD portable mount giving you more edge upon viewing the screen. On its core lies an Intel Atom Dual Core N550 processor, 1GB RAM, Intel GMA 3150 video card, 250 GB hard disk, and all those goodies like WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity sans the optical drive, of course. But it gets even better!
It has this new ‘SmartPop’ feature that enables you to control your mobile device while you’re using your netbook, for calling / SMS purposes, via syncing the two devices through its Bluetooth technology. Aside from that, because the devices are now paired, you can access and send files from each gadget, check email, watch videos? lord only knows what you can do with it. So far, the LG X170 netbook is only available in Korea for 700 USD, in which I do hope the price gets lower, or they provide some kind of bonus just like what we’re seeing in the PR image above -– the LG Smartphone.
