Logitech Fold-Up Keyboard for iPad 2: Review of Features — Price Is Hard To Swallow

Posted on 19 August 2011 by pinoytutorial

Despite of the iPad 2’s versatility, sleekness and grandiose specifications, you can’t deny the simple fact that it doesn’t have any keyboard. Sure, you might say this is the number one criteria for a “post-pc” device but regardless, the reality about some users yearning to fill in this void is seen most of the time.

And there goes Logitech’s solution revealing its first keyboard for the “magical” tablet called as the Fold-Up keyboard. Unlike those related devices you’ve seen before that transforms iPad into a laptop, the fold-up device works just like a real keyboard.

Basically, its design is something you can slice into two separate halves for portability purpose. You can later on combine the two together to form a full QWERTY keyboard. It supports the iPad by providing a stand that holds the rear of the tablet, slightly tilted, depending on the viewer’s readable perspective. It also works fine even when you have the smart cover latched on the unit. The cons? Well, first impression from engadget states the keys are “clunky” which is somewhat disappointing to hear since its price sets you back for $130: kind of expensive if you’ll ask me. Still, if you’re interested you can pre-order the fold-up keyboard today.
