Japanese folks never get tired of coming up with things that might seem weird to common folks. Maybe you’ve heard the Coca-Cola Vending Machine to evade robbers or the Hayfever hat for people who are tired of carrying a pack tissue paper while having a cold/fever. Now, check out the latest gadget a group of Japanese researchers have made which they call the “Lunchbox Communicator”. Sounds interesting?

The Lunchbox Communicator was developed by a group at Ochanomizu University that consisted of a regular lunch box, a web camera, small touchscreen display, microphone, built-in speaker and a Viliv S5 MID. The one-of-a-kind lunch box can be used by parents or wives who want to share love to their kids and husbands and vice-versa.
The device works in 2 ways. First, when opened the first time , it will start recording everything via its Creative web cam. It captures all the things mom prepares for lunch and automatically stops when the lid is closed. Second, when junior opened his lunch box at school, the device will immediately play back the previous recorded video. At the same time, it also records Junior’s feedback on the lunch mom prepared for him.
It’s more appealing if you are watching the video. Check it out:
The group who made the device said that they were planning on making the device more compact and provide it with a video editing software. No announcement if it will be released in the market.
