Looking back at the “back to the mac event” held last October, everyone was thrilled to hear that Apple would be unleashing the full Apple app-store experience for MAC users as well and what only means, in the future, users may not be needing to buy any software from 3rd party developers – because everything they need is right on the App store. Last December, it was announced the official release date for this upgrade will be on January 13 but with some turnaround events, the Cupertino-based company is unleashing this one today!

Yep, it’s now official! The Mac App store is now available to use and it will come out as a Snow Leopard Update under the version of 10.6.6. According to the Apple, this update will bolster an initial app count of 1000 including those core Apple applications like iLife (iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand) and it will sell for 14.99 USD each, while Pages, Keynote and Numbers which is originally available on iWork will cost you 19.99 USD each. And the latest Aperture 3 (mutlicore photo-editor of Apple) will be yours for a price of 79.99 USD.
In addition to that, Apple will be introducing other drawing app as well like: AutoDesk Sketchbook Pro plus this interesting application from Ancestry.com entitled as Family Tree Maker which will enable users to trace their family’s root and history easily.
To download this, you could just jump on this page and upgrade your system to Mac OS X 10.6.6 and it’s expected that the installation will run smoothly — hopefully.
