As some of you who are already familiar with the precious products of Apple, may it be a software or hardware, you can be sure the whole blogosphere is in tune and even just a morsel of info is already enough to make it on the top news for tech-pundits to clamor for. That same scenario is happening right now for the Mac App store whereas it’s currently undergoing on its usual “when will it be released?” type of stage. Coming from the Back to the Mac event, Steve Jobs revealed that its release date would be nintety days since his statement last October 13. As of today, Apple finally announced this much awaited update for the Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) for it to be infused with Apps.

On January 6, App store will finally be opened for Mac OS X and it will enable current users to update, install and download applications on their Macs just like on your iPhone or iPad. This one will be available on ninety countries and it will be featuring free apps as well to jumpstart the users from downloading coming from categories like Education, games, graphics and design, lifestyle, productivity and utilities.
Consider this update as the second biggest update for Mac OS X until we see its newly fangled Lion OS X (10.7) on Q2 next year. Stay tuned!
