Yesterday, we were delighted on hearing the news about Apple’s new event going to be held on October 20 wherein Steve Jobs named this one as “Back To The Mac”. On the first 30 seconds, I was so excited to think that somehow Apple will shed some info about the upcoming Verizon iPhone 4, iPad 2, White iPhone or Core 16 Mac Computers. But alas, going back to the reality it appears that it isn’t the case at all.

Just judging from the face of the lion and the word Mac, you can already make a good hypothesis that this event will be about the upgrade for their Snow Leopard Mac OSx 10.6 – I am thinking about a Lion this time.
And probably the best guess for the next upcoming version is the Mac OSx 10.7. And this is the part where everything gets a bit exciting.
During the release of the iPhone 4, the daringfireball of Mr. Gruber released some good annotation about this project “Marble” a secret UI which he said to be the Xcode 4 that was already been released on the WWDC for this year. Anyway, the point of that project is letting the users have the ability to work more than in one window.
In the new Mac OSx 10.7 – I have a feeling Apple will finally incorporate a touchscreen to their beloved OS, considering they have already patented a new breed of iMacs with touchscreen capabilities.
Anyway, that’s just a tentative guess and we all know that in an Apple event. Everything could just change once Jobs say his “And one more thing” line to the audience. Certainly, we’ll keep you guys updated!
