We’re already in the month of May, and that means, it won’t be that long until wee see the official release of the Mac OS X Lion platform, promised by Apple to be revealed this summer.
As of today, an insider report states that instead of the usual way of downloading / ordering the new Apple OS, it’s believed that Apple will also release the Lion platform on the Mac App store under its “software” category.

Just a refresher, the Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) is the upcoming version of Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) which was revealed last 2009. On Apple’s last September music event, it was confirmed the Lion will arrive this Summer, predicted to be announced on the WWDC event happening on June 6-10.
In our previous report, we gave you news that OS X Lion will feature out some amazing new features like the ability to go full screen just like on the iPad, “mission control” giving you an overview of all the panels you’ve opened, and other interesting media applications.
Naturally, downloading this OS as easy as obtaining an application in the App store has got to be the most trouble-free way of getting it. We’re still waiting for any comments from Apple’s PR on this one – stay tuned!
