Apple iPad and Android tablets have been pretty dominant in the tablet market recently. With this, it is not a surprise that other manufacturers have been working hard to come out with their very own version of this popular tablet devices. Sooner or later we’ll be expecting a series of Windows 7 tablet to hit the market. Although with this scenario happening in the near future, a problem is seen since Windows 7 includes some touch-friendly features and its default user interface was designed especially for use with a keyboard and mouse.

As expected developers poured in some good amount of money in research and development to come up with a user interface that could replace the default user interface and one that will provide an easier experience in using a tablet even without a mouse and keyboard. One of these interesting designs comes from the company UI Centric.
UI Centric, one of the leading user interface designers has formally announced just recently the details about its upcoming tablet computing interface which is especially made for Windows 7 devices which will be called the Macallan. UI Centric has been founded in 2007 and has offices in London, New York and Mexico. It has delivered advance user’s experiences to company such as Panasonic, Microsoft, BT and Telmex which has been known for coming up with the most innovative brands all around the globe.
With a good company and expert interface designers, surely Macallan promises to turn out well. The Macallan user interface is especially designed to give the most instinctive and responsive experience out of any tablet device. Apparently desktop computers as well as mobile phone operating system will not benefit from this new interface design.
As compared with other tablet device user interface, it seems that the Macallan has a definite advantage since it comes loaded with great features like native multitasking, Adobe Flash support, USB and memory card support and camera and video chat functionality.
Although at this point, it is not yet known which device will ship with the Macallan user interface but there were some rumors that a major manufacturer will be doing so within the third quarter of the year. The Macallan gives tablet manufacturers an easy and affordable option to choose from. With this we can surely expect that the tablet market will surely get better and hotter.
