The MacBook Air 11-inch ain’t no workhorse to drag in the mud with. Think of it like a dainty little pony. One you only ride on to get somewhere and show off to other people to let them know you have one. The MBA 11 inch was just something that you toted around, worked on some office documents or simply browsed the net with. All the while holding an overly priced high liquid calorie coffee drink in one hand.

Apple took note of this and simply upgraded the needed requirements. The new upgrade to the MacBook Air 11-inch is the ff:
- CPU: from Intel Core 2 Duo 1.4GHz, its now upgraded to Intel Core 2 Duo 1.6GHz
- Memory: from 2GB DDR3-1066 soldered on-board, its now upgraded to 4GB DDR3-1066 soldered on-board
- Storage: from 64GB SSD, it has been upgraded to 128GB SSD
The 200MHz increase in processing power is not something to be proud of. It still wont be able to catch up with it’s bigger brothers in terms of speed for processing intensive apps. Although the added 2 GB of Memory and 64 GB of Storage is a very nice addition to power, its still something to edit some documents and browse the net with all the while holding an overly priced high liquid calorie coffee drink in one hand.
The $400 increase for the base unit is also nothing to scoff at. The new MBA will be priced at $1399 but no news when it will be released.
