Well look what do we have here? It seems the company who has brought us some ‘sickly-good’ gaming desktops and laptops will try and improve its gamer’s notebook of last year to entice its users on buying it, hopefully.
As some of you may have remembered, Maingear eX-L 15 laptop was first introduced last year catering some pretty amazing specifications w/ core 2 duo processor, GeForce GTX 260M GPU and 8GB RAM. Sure, it can suffice for a hardcore gamer if we’re only talking about the games of last year but we all know that this is year 2011 already, and games like this would eat up most of your computer’s resources hence, obliging you to upgrade your rig to the most optimal quality it can achieve.

Its good to know the company knows that and as of today, it’s now officially upgrading its eX-L 15 series with the second generation Intel Sandy Bridge type of processors and you can have the Core i7-2920XM as your default customization. But the fun doesn’t stop there! M will also be introducing GeForce GTX 4xx series on this laptop in which you can choose if it’ll be the GTX 460M w/ 1.5GB memory or, GTX 485M w/ 2GB memory and yes, the cap for memory is now doubled as well bringing it up to 16GB of RAM power! Other goodies include, HDMI / DVI ports, USB 3.0 x 2 and 2x Blu-ray reader for your optical drive.
Now, for a laptop like this you would expect it to be on the 2K zone right? Well, what do you know? It appears Maingear will be officially selling this one starting at 1,579 USD, which is pretty cheap already for those richie rich out there.
