Mark Hurd was the Hewlett-Packard (HP) CEO who forced out by the HP board on August 2010, on account of the sexual harassment charges against him by former employee and reality TV star Jodie Fisher. The charges never went to court because the case was settled. The details of the allegation of Ms. Fisher never went public.

Recently though, a Delaware court, upon request of a HP shareholder, ordered the release of the letter of Attorney Gloria Allred to Hurd, as counsel of Fisher. The letter dated June 24, 2010, contained the details of the sexual harassment allegations.
The letter provided details on how Hurd got to know Fisher through the reality TV show Age of Love and contacted her to offer her a job at HP. It can be seen from the letter that Hurd allegedly employed Fisher to host various HP events around the country, but actually, Hurd’s intention was to make Fisher accompany him in those events.
The letter gave the details of how Hurd allegedly invited or went into the hotel room of Fisher to make advances. During the two year employment of Fisher, the letter said, made clear that the real design of Hurd in employing Fisher was to make her his lover. Atty. Allred also said in the letter how the former HP CEO used HP revenues to procure woman companionship in the guise of HP business.

There is no information on why this letter was ordered released to public. It is also not clear what this letter may affect Hurd. After the settlement of the case, Fisher even said that the letter is full of inconsistencies and wrote to Hurd saying, “I do not believe that any of your behavior was detrimental to HP or in any way injured the company or its reputation.”
