Ever since we heard that news about those hacker’s adventurous attempt to jailbreak the PS3 using a USB stick or a symbian powered smartphone, we were sure Sony’s not going to take this escapade as a “yes” and they will do everything in their power to put a big block against these type hacks. And we were correct, and to add more proof to the already solid wall of Sony against jailbreakers. Comes this happy news (if you always pay for your PS3 games and doesn’t ride on the boat with pirates) about the much awaited Medal of Honor game recently released last week. It was announced that should you plan to play it then you need to upgrade your PS3 firmware to 3.50 – the same firmware said to have ultimately killed all jailbreak attempts by hackers before.

If this move by Sony turned out to be a success and there were no other jailbreak reports that were followed after this one then you can be certain that soon, Sony will be implementing all 3.50 firmware updates for its PS3 games, meaning the apocalypse for the possibility of having a real working jailbroken PS3 that can play all the pirated games other players may want.
Some might say, this is just and fair for everyone. But we all know that in the gaming world, the power comes to the person who always has the cut above the rest. That goes the same with the players on how they would want to pay the price of their games.
