Several sources claim Microsoft is working to deliver its own smartphone dubbed as ‘Surface Phone‘ with some similarities with the Surface Tablet except for the size. It’s a hybrid between Microsoft’s latest O.S. Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 with high end specs and the combo phone is supposed to replace Windows 8 Phones on Asia, making it a new rival to the latter. The Smartphone has a Super AMOLED+ screen 326ppi at 1280 x 720 resolution that measures 5 inches and a kickass kickstand.
Other specs believed to come out include a USB 3.0 port, 12Mp camera featuring the “ultra bright” flash at the upper portion, and a front camera for Skype. The small keyboard works as a mini touch cover which seems to be detachable and the device is rumoured to contain a quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, RAM at 2Gb as well as LTE and NFC. The latest Microsoft Smartphone concept is a result of the Microsoft Surface tablet’s dismal performance in the market.
The report about the purported latest Windows Phone keeps resurfacing in the absence of official announcements and there is no guarantee about its coming out as the testing phase is currently done with Asian suppliers. As the manufacturing process is currently being worked out, the phone’s concept is definitely cool from the outside.
