Markus Persson’s Minecraft will finally make it to the Microsoft turf once Minecraft for Xbox 360 comes in spring next year.
Persson and his company Mojang released the Java platform-based sandbox building indie video game on 2009 with an iOS and Android versions still in the works and expected to be release at the end of this year. The Xbox 360 with Kinect support is now in the works with assistance of Stuart Platt, an Xbox Live Arcade video game producer from Microsoft. He pointed to Minecon as the starting point for the details of the Minecraft Xbox version. He’s been answering queries about the game’s development in recent weeks and expects to release a FAQ soon.
According to Platt, the game will be a downloadable title on Xbox Live Arcade and only Live’s gold or silver member can purchase and download the same. Meanwhile, those having a Minecraft.net account may need to purchase the Xbox 360 version. A demo trial will be outed before the official release of the game and will be made on MineCon. It is also possible that a multiplayer game mode will featured in the game. No price details were mentioned but it could be similar to the PC version.
As of this writing, there are no reports (not even rumors) about Minecraft being ported to PS3. But we’re still hoping!

I don’t like that Minecraft isn’t on PS3 cuz I may not be the only one but i do not have the best computer for gaming, this is why I would much rather it on console but I am not going out and buying an x-box just to get it. I think Notch has to get his finger out and sort this out.
I love how the title was about how minecraft exclusitivity is unfair, but they barely mention it in the story. Also nothing new which is also great. Oh minecraft will be mentioned at minecon whoa, no way man!

@martin yes, some xbox users have complained about that before. They have always been exclusive games, this is different though.
You may not have complained about that, but that’s irrelevant. It’s like me saying I’ve never complained about the holocaust, so everyone should man up and stop getting so butthurt whenever it gets mentioned.
u kno i think noch is cool but minecraft shoud also releas on ps3 its just not fair i love minecraft but im a ps3 user and im disapointed its not also for ps3
Well Notch is a xbox player first of all and the ps3 is TRYING to make xbox to look like crap. ps3 is just jelouse because xbox is cheaper and they almost have the same graphics and more games. xbox has the right to own it.
I dont feel bad for PS3 because there company didnt want to buy it which is stupid because they could of mad so much money.
