If you’ve been following the hoopla around Modern Warfare 3 and its so-called “leaked pirated disc”, you may be wondering why the heck it isn’t yet uploaded on torrent sites?
Just a refresher, you should know that yesterday, the single-player part of MW3 was leaked in which the origin of the seepage came from an employee working at Fresno, California (distributor) who allegedly stole “one disc”. Likewise, Activision has already hired private investigators for this anomaly and issued a fine of “$5000 + perma ban” in case its pirated copies weren’t returned.
But who needs a single incomplete pirated disc when boys from TPB are already rejoicing of MW3’s first torrent upload thanks to a leaked copy from steam?
Yes folks! Moments ago, dude uploaded a 13.79GB worth of MW3 file on the world’s largest torrent site. The alleged upload contains the “full steam retail DVD” and it’s divided conveniently into .RAR parts (later you can mount them into a full image file) for faster download.
As the uploader reiterates, while it’s the full version of the game, it doesn’t have a crack yet. Likewise, players should need to wait “a few more days” to get their hands playing on the pirated game for PC.
So far, this is the first time we’ve seen someone who actually uploaded the game on torrent sites. Of course, those eager players who’s currently downloading the game should wait and see if the image file was actually legit. But considering the uploader has a past history of uploading authenticated files, and did provide some screenshots, you might say this is the real deal.
I guess Activision’s private investigators don’t need to look no further huh?
Modern Warfare 3 is expected to arrive officially on November 8 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
