Sometimes, you can’t help but to feel kinda blessed that you’re living outside the boundaries of Abraham Lincoln’s country. Not trying to point something different here, I am just saying this for our Asian brethrens who’s feeling a bit jealous why USA seems to be getting all the good stuff. At this point, you should know that the case isn’t like that. And today, Motorola Defy’s Android 2.2 (Froyo) update will prove you that it’s an exception. – How’s that for an intro, huh?

Coming from the blogosphere, it appears there’s a wild-card rumor that starts to leak out from this site confirming that a very-far OTA update will finally be available on your Defy phone provided that you’re living on EMEA countries (Europe, Middle East and Asia) which is set to be unraveled on Q2 of 2011. And for the first time in the history of mankind, our boys from USA won’t have any OTA updates for this one – or at least, that’s how the leak seems to be claiming.
If you’ll ask my opinion, this type of rumor is set to be change as soon as we hit another milestone for Android. And just like any OTA updates we’ve seen, the only guarantess you can have for its ETA is none unless this one is finally revealed coming from the horse’s mouth, in the case of Defy – that would mean from the mouth of Motorola’s PR team!
