The Motorola Droid 2 is a very impressive piece of mobile hardware when it comes to technology stuffed into a smartphone. So slapping on an additional moniker to an impressive phone seems a little bit like overkill already. Here’s a tidbit for the Motorola Droid 2 Global seen at a Costco database along with T-Mobile Comet.

While it’s not sure that these will be the 1.2 Ghz quad-band phones, here are the specs of the Motorola Droid 2 Global (since it’s the same as the Droid 2):
- Android 2.2
- 1200MHz ARM v7 processor
- Internal 8 GB storage
- MicroSD and MicroSDHC support for up to 32GB
- 512 MB RAM
- EDGE, HSDPA and EV-DO support
- 3.70-inch Capacitive Multi-touch screen with 480×854 resolution
- 5 megapixel autofocu camera with Dual LED Flash capable of 720p recording
- WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
- MicroUSB 2.0
- HDMI out
- DLNA support
- 3.5 mm headphone jack
- Li-ion battery
And it seems that Motorola also want to fill the void that that the White iPhone left in the hearts of many. There will be two variants of the phone, which will be in either Black of White.
Whats interesting to note in the leaked screenshot is the T-Mobile Comet or Huawei Ideos, a low-budget Android smartphone for $149.99 free from contracts that could be released on November 3. Expect the Motorola Droid 2 Global for $199.99 under Verizon.
