Just when you thought that Motorola has already forgotten their Droid 2, comes this very welcoming report from the blogosphere. Apparently, aside from the usual Froyo treat any Droid 2 users are using, they will be getting a new OTA update for their smartphone and it will include two cool features like the ability of users to create device profiles and let them switch from multiple home screens for a better look on your display. For Droid Pro users, you may already be familiar with this feature and its good to know Droid 2 will have this one as well. The next core update will be about USB tethering, which is added to the Wireless Tethering built-in to the Froyo stock on the Droid 2 device.

Come to think of it, this feature is pretty neat because USB tethering will enable your Droid 2 to act as a WiFi hotspot just by connecting a USB device towards a computer. Anyway, the not so cool thing about this leak is that the release date or any manual download links is still yet to be revealed. So hang on tight! For the meantime, you can check out Droid 2’s two bolder brothers – Droid 2 Global and Droid 2 Pro – if you wanna.
