This week is really big for Android, since not only Google announced Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) but Samsung and Motorola both revealed their new aces – Galaxy Nexus & Droid RAZR.
Likewise, this is the first time we’ve encountered this scenario where to superphones collided almost on the same day. In our previous report, we have a comparison for the two Android phones whereas our verdict will depend how the price of Galaxy Nexus will be announced for next month and if Motorola RAZR will be able to get Ice Cream Sandwich.

For today, some pieces of the puzzle are now solved as Moto’s SVP of portfolio and product management Alain Mutricy confirmed Android 4.0 will arrive on RAZR. The dealbreaker? Start of 2012.
Now before all the commotion, one should realize this is natural since Google and Samsung has partnered up to reveal Nexus a.k.a Google Phone. Obviously, there’ll be an exclusivity period for the ICS on Galaxy Nexus similar with Nexus S, ten months ago. Your best bet? ICS will be available first on the three Nexus devices then to those phones already equipped with Gingerbread as stated by Google yesterday.
Anyway, for those who can’t wait to see ICS on RAZR. I’m sure boys from XDA already has a solution for this, even months before Motorola announced this update.
