Wondering where did all the Droids have gone through this year’s MWC event? As you can see, we’re almost at the concluding part of the event, although it seems we still haven’t seen any Droid creations yet unlike last year.
Anyway, it appears there’s a new hope today as the blogosphere reports that Motorola Droid X 2 is already confirmed as a real device and not just a folly of our imagination. Last week, we managed to report this device along with some bits of its specifications. As of today, it’s now revealed featuring some lengthy specs and features which is definitely an eye-candy especially for those geeks who doesn’t accept nothing unless it’s a dual-core smartphone. But there’s a catch!
Motorola Droid X 2 Specifications (Part 1):
- 4.3-inch qHD capacitive display with 960 x 540 resolution
- 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 type of dual-core processor
- RAM set to 1GB
- 8MP Camera
- Possibility for it to land on Verizon and support LTE
The big deal breaker here is this, it appears engadget has managed to do a little digging and they found out that the Droid X 2 (Droid Squared) may come out just as your average smartphone with a different specs. Check it out!

- 1.2GHz single-core CPU only – oh shikes!
- 768MB RAM
- 8MP Camera
- Possibility to support LTE (4G) network under the Verizon carrier
I know some of you are a bit disappointed with the result, but that’s the way how the cookie crumbles. Who knows? There could be a light at the end of the tunnel here once we see this device have its release date soon. For the meantime, it appears Droid Bionic still holds the current superphone title for the Moto company.
