Thrills and excitement filled the media buzz. Motorola never fails to invite such in their new creations, of exceptionally beautiful devices. The new Droid X captured eyes and ears of enthusiasts.
Verizon created the right teaser for them by placing a much nearer than expected date in their Droid X commercial. The 07.02.2010 digits in the screen aroused speculation of its much awaited release date. However, was that really the most awaited day?
Recent news blogs reveal that Droid X will be available on July 15. Droid X will of course stir chaos on its release because of its promising new features. As advertised earlier, Droid X has a 4.3 inches WVGA screen, and HDMI output. Take note, it has a more huge video focus. Plus, it was partnered with Blockbuster for an application where you may buy and rent films. You can download all your favorites if you want. Display will have a WVGA resolution of 854 x 480 pixels; 400,000+ pixels at a 16:9 ratio. Its keyboard is a multitouch allowing you to press keys at the same time.
Good thing for fast people. Also, it is preloaded with the Swype virtual-typing utility. Droid X appears glossy and classy due to its mirrored trim. And of course, Droid X has the amazing 8-megapixel camera and is able to capture 720p video. Tried by a few, the video plays smoothly. Finally, Android 2.1 will be its OS once released. Nevertheless, the much awaited Android 2.2 OS will be available by summer as an upgrade since it will not be ready on its launch. The usual specs are there too, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G. To Droid X, one can connect up to five wireless devices.
On their June 23 introduction of Droid X, Motorola compared the device with the iPhone 4. Obviously, Droid X was the rival release as iPhone 4 goes on sale on the 24th.
