Facebook phones are getting popular nowadays specially when majority of individuals get hooked in the social networking stream. Motorola is apparently planning to join the group with its EX225 and EX226 handsets.

Initial details of the Motorola EX225 were seen at the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) page. Key specs include a 2.4-inch TFT display panel, five-row QWERTY key pad, GSM support, GPRS, 3G, EDGE, 3 megapixel rear camera and single/dual SIM options. The interesting feature of course is the dedicated Facebook button and integrated UI on the handset.
Most likely, the EX225 will not be Android-based and instead will follow other Brew-based Motorola handsets. Qualcomm had announced that Brew-enabled devices, along with Brew MP platform, will be introduced this year. It focuses on providing graphically enhanced and more user friendly mobile application interface to customers. The new platform will let individuals preview apps they like before making a purchase.
Meanwhile, a similar facebook phone unit is the EX226 which will have the dual-sim feature like the EX225. The EX226 will receive all technical assets of EX225 except its dedicated Facebook button.
Motorola has yet to announce specific details, including price and availability, about its leaked Facebook Phone. However, we’re pretty sure that we will hear more in the following days, so stay tuned.
