Korea gets the Android feel via MOTOROI

Motorola is one of the leading phone makers in Asia and they will hit Korea with a wave sure to make the crowd rave! The 1st ever Android powered to be in Koreans hand is Motorola’s MOTOROI, running Android 2.0. This phone is said to withstand multi-tasking, that means you can run different kinds of application at the same time (I hope no freezing screen will be seen).

This gadget promises (or shall I say the Sanjay Jha promised “Motorola Co-CEO”) that you will have the best Touchscreen experience with this phone plus it will provide you with the richest color for a delightful view while you browse the net or even while you’re just sending a text message!

Before I give you all the juicy details of MOTOROI let me just clarify something with you. I believe you have heard of XT710, well it’s actually different from this gadget I am talking about. I have a picture of MOTOROI and XT710 so you can spot the difference.

As you can see from the pictures above XT710 look exactly the same as Motoroi, but if you will look closer they’re different from each other. Motoroi has a few buttons on the right side while XT doesn’t at the same time the back side of each phone flaunts a different megapixel. (XT710 has 5.0 megapixel while Motoroi has 8.0). So there’s no way they’re one and the same.

Moving on, Motoroi will flaunt a 3.7 inch screen with a WVGA resolution at 480×854 resolution, hey I thought this device will provide the richest colors? (richest colors compared to other MOTO phone I guess). The camera has improved, it’s been upgraded to an 8.0 megapixel with Xenon flash.

It will also showcase a camcorder that has 720p (that’s already High-Definition resolution). It will also have HDMI-out, T-DMB and a 3.5mm headphone jack. As for the memory and storage it will give us 8 gig for internal and up to 32GB for microSD. Other than that it will also be packed with Google applications such as Google Maps, Gmail and Googletalk.

Motoroi would be available via SK telecom but the price is still TBA and it’s also rumored that this gizmo will be in US by March. More info will be leaked once we get hold of it!

    Hello,
I would like to comment on the internal storage of the Motoroi. According to Korean SK telecom and other official sources, the internal memory capacity is only 512mb. They list the additional 8GB as an external memory source and can extend to 32GB using a microSD card. Apparently, the 8GB is a gift that is also a MicroSD that they have installed for you.

According to a mobile retailer in Korea, the usuable memory space for Applications is only 512mb.

So, the question is why are all the reviews on US sites saying that the Motoroi has 8GB of internal storage when the manufacturer and Korean mobile phone sites list it as 512mb?

Since it has not been release in the US, I can understand the mistake, but really? If it is true then it is really a very big misleading mistake.

Sensible comments/suggestions are always appreciated.
