Motorola Motosplit Not Good Enough? | Specs Review

Posted on 11 February 2010 by pinoytutorial

Another crazy invention from MOTO (well I hope that it is indeed from Motorola and not a work from some wise guy trying to make a buzz out of a lame picture which was crafted on Photoshop!) is the MotoSplit which somehow resembles the first phone from Nokia that has a qwerty pad.

I think that phone was launched way back year 2000. Of course this one is from Moto is far gorgeous than the Nokia phone I have mentioned, well it should be right? Knowing that it’s 2010, phones nowadays should be as futuristic as Lady Gaga maybe that is why Motorola made this phone.

Since we have not heard any official statement from Motorola critics has all the rights to speculate and assume what this device will be equipped with. Some say it will run a low-end Qualcomm MSM 7201A, while others assume that it may run the latest Qualcomm MSM7227 or 7627 since all phones from Motorola that was released recently were dressed with this processor.

If I were to base my opinion from the photo we have I would say that this is one stunning phone. Well that is because I’m a fan of unique craftsmanship and this phone is definitely one of it. The split QWERTY pad looks a little bit fragile though but I hope it is not. The phone is quite thin too which makes me wonder how on earth will this phone get its power to run (can the rumor be true after that this is indeed a low-end phone? Hope not)

If you will check the net for Motorola MotoSplit you will see that it may have 1GHz Snapdragon processor that will be powered by Google’s Android Operating System and will be out by Quarter three of this year.

As for us, these are the Technical Specs we got!

  • Google Android 2.1
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250
  • RAM & ROM 512 MB
  • 3.7 inch TFT screen with 480×854 resolution (Multi-touch screen)
  • microSD, TransFlash microSDHC, , SDIO
  • USB 2.0 client, 480Mbit/s & microUSB
  • Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
  • WLAN 802.11b, 802.11g

Now we can really say this is the final touch of MOTOSPLIT but we will update you for any changes. No word on pricing yet.
