We’ve seen Motorola produced a number of Android-powered smartphones these last few months. Recently Engadget passed a few photos of a new device from Motorola. They called the device “Sage MB508”. Several tech reports claimed that this new Android smartphone from Motorola is bound to go to AT&T, the largest provider of fixed and mobile telephone service in the United States.
For data service and connectivity, Motorola Sage is equipped with 7.2 Mbps HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access), to provide high speed transmission of voice and data, with a maximum transmission rated at 14.4 Mbps. It also has quadband EDGE (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution), an upgrade for GSM/GPRS networks that triples data rates over standard GPRS. It also has WiFi, Bluetooth, AGPS, and a digital compass.
Motorola sage has a 3.1 inches TFT touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus, geo-tagging and a video recording. It has a simple QWERTY keyboard and backtrack touch panel. It also has a MOTOBLUR user interface and expected to be powered by Android 2.1 OS come its launching date . A proximity sensor is also present for automatic shut-down and an accelerometer for UI auto-rotate.
Motorola Sage MB508 also features applications such as an integrated calendar and integrated inbox for email, messages, and social network updates. The Motorola Sage also has an auto-delivery that lets you see the messages to your home screen message. You’re always connected to Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter. It also has an Android HTML that lets you use the Google maps and the Google search. Lastly it has a Youtube video application that lets you watch your favorite video anywhere.
With this information we can safely say that this new smartphone is worth buying for. Its simple and approachable appearance makes you think that you can use the phone easily. The applications featured in this phone are very useful. You can mix both your personal and professional life with the use of the integrated calendar and the integrated inbox. You’re always connected to Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter which makes you updated for all social networking activities. With an Android HTML browser you can maximize the use of Google mapping and Google searching for research and learning. For entertainment a Youtube video application is installed.
The price and release date of Motorola Sage MB508 are still unknown. Maybe the phone is still in the testing stage, possibly at the end of this month will see an announcement regarding its press release.
