MSI knows that 2011 is a fresh new start and they have already jumped the gun on their competition by releasing some new hardware that looks like it can kill with very loud bang. Here is some news about MSI newest motherboard hardware, the Big Bang Marshal.
The newest addition to MSI’s lineup for their XL-ATX boards is packing some serious numbers. The boards have a total of 8 PCI Express lanes even though it has the bandwidth to feed only four x16’s or eight x8’s simultaneously. If anyone is crazy enough to actually utilize 4 GPU’s, then this is the board for them.
The board also has 3 separate BIOS chips, extra 8-pin and 6-pin 12V power intakes. This is all powered by some excessive power regulation components. There are eight USB 3.0 ports and 4 DIMM slots. The Marshal might change its features before it goes to market by next years first quarter (January-March), as some sources are already reporting.
There is currently no news as of yet about pricing point, but with a monster like this on the prowl, the Big Bang Marshal can be expected to be in the high-end range if not the highest yet.
