It was on February when we first saw these MSI CX laptops packing an Intel Sandy Bridge processor under a budgeted price. As of today, the company reveals the MSI CX480 which poses a metallic cover under a crystal diamond finish fit for users who are looking for cost-efficient notebooks.
So this device will sport a 2.10GHz Intel Sandy Bridge Core i3-2310 CPU or 2.30GHz Core i5-2410 if you’re in for a little pump. It comes with NVIDIA GeForce 520M with 1GB VRAM for its GPU (DirectX 11-ready card), and a choice of 320GB / 640GB for its hard drive.
Meanwhile, it contains other features such as: Time Stamp Backup and Restoration letting you restore the data within your hard drive on the fly; you can even setup a timestamp to do this one automatically. Air Tight Protection – a new improvement towards the placement of the laptop’s hard drive on CX480’s innards, letting it avoid issues in case you dropped the unit.
Interestingly, this laptop comes with a built-in SRS PC Sound surround speakers, along with USB 3.0 / Bluetooth 3.0 access and HDMI slot for wireless media streaming. Expected battery life to last up to 8.5 hours of continuous usage.
If you are interested, this 14-inch laptop will be available this quarter. Price still undisclosed.
