MSI WIND U160 will show off at CES 2010 | Specs review

Posted on 25 December 2009 by pinoytutorial

Coming this 2010 will be the Consumer Electronics Show, and I believe that people all around the globe are pretty excited to know what CES has in store for us! Or shall I say what does the Industry of Gadgetry has in line for the consumers! It has been said that the upcoming CES will feature 2700 exhibitors and one of those will be MSI.

What will MSI be showcasing this time? I am not sure of how many gadgets they will show off but it’s definite that one of them is WIND U160, this netbook is basically the same as its sibling U135, It will have Pine Trail from Intel, infused with a 1.66GHz processor, a 160 gigabyte hard drive with 1 GB of RAM!

Classic and distinctly coated with a rich mono-chrome finish for that complete baller look, people will envy you because you have this! It has the same features as its siblings specifically U135, basically it will sport the following;

  • Pine trail platform
  • Pineview processor “Atom N450”
  • Either 160gb or 250gb hard drive but nothing has been officially claimed
  • A dumbfounding 10 hours of  battery life (still a rumor)
  • 10 inch LCD screen
  • No official info of the exact size

If you have been closely watching out the details of each netbook that has been roaming around the net but has not yet been released for retail, MSI has officially said that U135 will be equipped with a battery that can last up to 7 hours! But  Dell is claiming that Inspiron MIni 10 can survive up to 9.5 hours of usage! And here comes another MSI baby trying to beat a record for battery life, word is spreading that MSI is building U160 to be powerful and last for 10 hours of straight use! But as I have said nothing is yet official, just in case this is true is there a catch?

People slash consumers got used to getting poor performance from a gadget,no matter how well it has been improved there will always be flaws. I hope MSI need not sacrifice any quality just to achieve the 10 hour battery life. So far this is all I have gathered, unfortunately no videos yet, but I have a one thing that might interest you, the price tag will be at $350 hopefully it will stay as it is!
