Gadget enthusiasts will definitely enjoy the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this January 2011. Not just because it’s going to be on Las Vegas, but because it’s going to be filled with a bunch of Tablet PCs.

Speaking of the CES, it seems that MSI (Micro-Star International Co., Ltd) is still going to present its Windows 7 tablet on the show. But here’s a bit of sad news. Even before its actual CES presentation, MSI’s Windpad U100W is already getting negative reviews. And guess what, Sasha Pallenberg of netbooknews.com even stated that MSI’s Windows 7 tablet “don’t even have to be remembered”.
Well, he surely got some reasons right?
It’s obvious that the tablet uses the Windows 7 OS and though it does have a 10-inch capacitive multi touch screen display, the Windpad seems to be heavier and thicker compared to any other Android-powered tablets in the market today. But what the tablet generally misses most is the WindTouch UI. Without WindTouch, the tablet’s touch sensitivity is somewhat restricted making the small screen buttons more difficult to command.
Here’s the rest of Sasha’s opinion on U100W Tablet:
Aside from that, the tablet basically presents common (and not so new) features such as the Intel Atom Silverthorne Z530 processor, accelerometer, rear-facing camera, front-facing camera, HDMI output, USB 2.0 port, 3G SIM card slot, 4n1 card reader, headset jack, and built-in stereo speakers. It also has some buttons to control the WiFi, Bluetooth, Camera, Volume and Power.
There’s no word as to when will this tablet be released or how much will this tablet cost. But considering the low ratings, the Windpad U100W could sell out pretty cheap.
